Hello, I’m Charu

An Indian travel blogger and photographer who is exceptionally obsessed with wandering around the world and capturing its beauty. There is nothing that matches the thrill I experience the morning before I set out to discover a new place. When I am not exploring foreign lands, I am spending my time finding hidden gems in my own backyard and sharing them with you.

I am a girl who was born and raised in a small city of India; a girl who whilst growing up didn’t know much about the world that existed outside of her walled city; a girl who spent all her childhood daydreaming about faraway lands; a girl who now, many years later, is chasing her dream by exploring the world, one destination at a time.

When I first started “Travel with CG” on Instagram as a way to creatively express how I saw our world six years ago, I had no idea of how much it would grow on me and actually become my life one day. Today, there is nothing that I would rather do than create content and share everything from my travel tips to destination guides, hotel reviews to even my best buys with you. I hope that I can inspire you to travel around our beautiful planet and live the life of your dreams. I want to let you know that the happiness of finding your passion and chasing it with all that you have got, is truly incomparable. 

Thanks to the existence of the internet, for making it possible for me to go live my dream. And thank you for stopping by on my little space in the world wide web and reading my story. As of now, I have had the opportunity of exploring 23 beautiful countries. 

I think the entire world is nothing but a big bucketlist destination for me. But as of now, I would really like to discover Japan, Morocco, Iceland, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

I use my custom made presets in Lightroom Classic CC to edit all my photos. I also conduct online classes to teach the same, so you can send me an email or a DM on Instagram if you’d like to join my next Lightroom Masterclass.

You may be surprised at this answer but all of my photos are clicked with the help of my family and friends. I usually know what kind of photos I want out of a specific place, so I set my camera and frame for them to press the shoot button. 

Contrary to popular belief, I use a very basic Canon EOS 100D that I bought in 2013 when I was starting university and thought it would be useful to document my life abroad. Little did I know then that this is what I would want to do for the rest of my life. My point is that you don’t always need a fancy camera or the most expensive tools to take good photos. Try to spend your time on the devices that you already own and master your craft.

I don’t think that I would ever be able to choose one country over another as they have all given me such memorable experiences. Instead, I can tell you that some of my happiest moments were riding on a hot air balloon in Cappadocia, eating a Pizza Marina by the coast in Positano  enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the best sunset ever in Santorini and of course, getting lost in all the places in India.
